The NCAA has considered expanding their Men’s Basketball Tournament for some time, but the idea became close to reality Monday, February 1, 2010 when the popular site SportsbyBrooks reported that expanding the tournament to 96 teams was nearly a “done deal.”
This news has March Madness enthusiasts enraged, and wondering if the NCAA even thinks with anything beyond their bank account. But, now we have a chance to voice our opinion. This our chance to let the NCAA know that we don’t want the tournament expanded. If you like the current format, feel expanding the tournament will render the regular season irrelevant and feel expanding will minimize your excitement level of the first round, then sign this petition and let the NCAA and Interim President James Isch hear your voice!
